Inxs and George Street

I went to see Inxs at Mile One last night and it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Brian Byrne opened for them(ex frontman for I Mother Earth) and he was wonderful. Definitely going to have to look for his album. Inxs was worth every penny I paid to go see them. JD Fortune has more energy than ten 5 year olds put together and he certainly put that to good use. The most memorable moment for me(and I'm sure Juanita too) was that we actually came face to face with JD and brushed shoulders with him. It was on one of his MANY excursions out into the crowd, and it just topped off my night! He has to be one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen.*SIGH*
After the concert, we decided to go to George Street, seeing as how we were already downtown and all. We started at The Martini Bar and ended up at the Sundance. We had a wonderful time... good music, dancing and drinks... what more could you ask for?
Over all, we had an amazing night that's going to be hard to top. But we'll keep trying,eh Juanita?

I have just finished one of the most tiresome days I've had at work in quite a while. It just seemed to never end! It didn't help that I worked nine hours last night then had to turn around and be at work for seven this morning.(to work another 10) All the delivery trucks seemed to come at once, which was good in one way, but was very frustrating in another. At least once they were gone and the stock was put away, things settled down a bit. I was thinking of taking up yoga to relieve the tension and stress, but then I looked at some of the shapes that they get in, and I just know that I would never get back out of them, so that finished that idea! Oh well, something else will come along I'm sure, for now I'm going to go read.... my way of dealing with things. Some people stick their heads in the sand, me, I stick mine in a book!

P.S.
Nathan is taking part in the Annual Harvest Run next week in Carbonear, so let's keep our fingers crossed that he does okay!

What's new with me? Hmmm, well, Lorne and I just celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. How we ever managed to get that far I'll never know! LOL It's a funny thing, how I can look at Nathan and say, "Wow, where did the time go?"but when it comes to being married, that same amount of time sometimes feels like an eternity!
Speaking of Nathan, he's on the track and field team again this year and the teacher actually seems interested in getting them to practice... not like last year! He's also trying out for the basketball team and the floor hockey team. I say bring on whatever is going to use up some of that energy.
Anyway, I must go again. We're on our way up to Mom's for turkey supper. Mmmmm....turkey!

P.S.
Here's a picture of me and Nathan that was taken on labour day weekend!

Holidays!
I remember holidays and it's nothing like the one I'm having now. Mom and Dad would say we were going on vacation and off we would go to the island and enjoy a couple weeks of fun.

Now, when I get a week off from work, there's always more work at home waiting. It's like,"Gee, where did all this clothes come from?" and "I SWEAR I just swept this floor yesterday." I never get to just go away somewhere and relax. Oh well, I guess that's just the fun of being a grown-up.

I can't complain too much, because in the midst of all this work I get to see my brother and his wife, who are home from Halifax for a visit. We're all getting together on Friday for supper, the first time in a couple of years, so that should be good for a few laughs. I can't wait!

Here's a picture I took yesterday, with many more to follow I'm sure!

You might be asking what kind of name is 'My Blog'? Do you know how hard it is to come up with a name for something you know very little about? Well, seeing as how this is 'my blog', that's what it got called. Not very original I know, but it works!
I haven't bothered with this blog thing before, but seeing that a lot of family members are getting into it, I though, why not? I can't promise multiple postings a week, but I will try to keep it updated weekly. Gotta go, work beckons! GROAN
