Wow,
I can't believe it's been a year since I've been on here. That's what Facebook and Twitter will do for you, make you forget everything else.

Well, today is Canada Day, but it's not a celebration for those of us in my family. It was on this day 8 years ago that my oldest sister passed away. I can't really believe that 8 years have gone by, I still miss her just as much now, as I did then. She'll never be forgotten. I love you Sis!

Nathan has passed grade six and will be starting at the high school come September, which completely freaks me out. I am So not ready to have a child old enough to be in high school!

As for me, I passed all my courses from this past year, and have a 4.0, which really amazes me. Who would have thought? I finished my first work term, and I loved it! Can't wait for September so I can get right back into it again. I am looking forward to my summer though.

That's it, all updated in 3 paragraphs, hmmm... I may need to get a bit of a life I think! LOL

Spring Time

What a beautiful day it is! The sun is shining and it's actually mild outside. The leaves are starting to bloom and everything looks wonderful. I love this time of the year, it's like everything becomes new again.


So, updates on me. Not a whole lot to say... we had a death in the family a month ago. My mother-in-law passed away, and that was hard, especially for my son. He used to spend a lot of time with her and is going to miss her greatly.


Things are moving ahead with school. I received my acceptance letter, and did all the required assessments, so now I just have to wait until September. I'm looking forward to it now... time for new beginnings.

Finished Work....at last!

Well, I've finally finished work! Yipee! I'm glad that I'm finished, but yet, in a way, I'm sad. I've been down there for almost 4 years, and I'm going to miss the interaction I had with the people of this community! I never knew a soul before I started down there, and now I know almost everyone.I am looking forward to having some time to myself though,that's going to be nice.
I have to admit to some certain amount of panic at the thought of going back to school again, I think I must be nuts. School wasn't that great the first time around. LOL

Anyways, that's it for my little update. I'll try to get back into this more, now that I have the time again.

New Member of the Family

Congratulations Deanne and Albert!
I am happy to announce that my brother and his wife had their baby on July 28,2007. His name is Aaron Christopher Dean Jacobs and I can say with absolute certainty (and positively no prejudice)that he is the most beautiful baby boy around. He is absolutely adorable.I was in and saw him this past Thursday and can't get over how perfect he is. I can't wait until my next visit.(which won't be any time soon the way things are looking at work)Here are a couple of pictures I took of him while I was in... see what I mean by adorable?

Well, it's been a while since I've updated this. Hmmm, let's see what's been happening. I've had a birthday and I'm thinking of going back to school.
First off, the birthday. I turned 29, yet again. LOL I'm going to stick with that age I think... it seems to be a good one.
Hmmm...going back to school,am I nuts? Probably,but if I go, I'm going to go and take community studies with a slant towards social work. The great thing about that is, when I do make it to university(and I will), some of the credits I earn in community studies can be transferred over to the social work program.
Well, that's it for me right now. I'll try to keep this more up to date than I have been.

Nathan thinks it's so cool that he looks like Eminem. He does too, a little bit anyway. As long as he doesn't turn out like him... well, maybe the money part, just not the lifestyle.
